Wellington Trip 2017

This year saw 19 students accompanied by teacher Mr Metcalfe and 3 parents, spend 5 days in our nations capital. We stayed at the YHA and visited Te Papa (including viewing the Gallipoli Exhibition), spent two sessions at Capital E's OnTv studio making news programmes, visited Parliament and experienced Question Time, as well as having a visit from our MP Mr Tim McIndoe, had a tour of the WETA Workshop Experience, visited the Zealandia Wildlife Sanctuary at Karori, went back to Capital E for a 2D Animation session at their Media Centre, and experienced the National War Memorial at Pukeahu, laying a wreath at the evening Last Post Ceremony, with students also reading the ode in English and te reo. An awesome week!
