We have a winner! Josh Allen won the Level 3 section of the school Oratory competition last night. In level 4, Jasmine King and Devon Davies competed fantastically in the top 7, but were unplaced. Well done to all three Room 5 students.

BP Technology Challenge
Two teams from Maeroa competed in the BP Challenge for 2010 in Hamilton with students from Room 5 prominent in the teams. One of our teams led by Nicole Steere, and including Devon Davies and Sheridan Tuimaseve achieved a 1st and 3rd placings in their two activities, the only school to finish in the top 3 in both activities. A well earned win!
Tug of War
Our class had a lot of fun with our tug of war team, but were soundly defeated by Room 13 and will be unable to defend the trophy in the final which we won 2 years ago. (The trophy was not competed for last year).
Lunchtime Sport- Netball
Room 5 bowed out at the semi-final stage of the interclass Netball competition when they were beaten by eventual champions Room 2. We won 3 of our pool games and drew one, allowing us to qualify for the semi's. However, we were beaten on the day by a classy yeam with the score being 8-4.
